Cristina is a biotechnology consultant and translational scientist with more than 15 years of experience helping biotechnology companies transform innovative scientific concepts into commercially viable products. Her expertise spans assay development, clinical diagnostics, product development, laboratory operations, manufacturing scale-up, and commercialization, with a focus on accelerating early-stage companies through critical technical and operational milestones.a. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Riverside, where her graduate research focused on nanomaterial synthesis, characterization, and microbial testing. Throughout her career, Cristina has led multidisciplinary programs across clinical laboratories and biotechnology startups, developing novel molecular diagnostic assays and laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) for infectious disease and oncology applications. She has successfully guided technologies from early research and feasibility through assay optimization, analytical and clinical validation, manufacturing transfer, process scale-up, regulatory documentation, and commercial launch.Cristina brings a unique combination of scientific rigor and startup execution, enabling clients to navigate the complex path from innovation to market with confidence. She has extensive experience supporting cross-functional teams in research and development, quality systems, technical documentation, manufacturing readiness, and commercialization strategy. Her passion lies in helping emerging biotechnology companies build scalable technologies, reduce technical risk, and accelerate product development while maintaining scientific excellence.
